Templates and widgets for a shared CMS platform for European travel websites

Background

Kuoni Travel Group – one the biggest travel companies in the world – had many similar websites for their B2C brands in Europe. A new shared CMS platform was going to be developed in order to rapidly and efficiently being able to modernize the group’s different travel websites.

About the project

As a sole UX Designer in a global e-commerce team, Johan made the interaction design for templates and widgets/building blocks. The framework could then be used to efficiently but still user centered build travel websites on the same CMS platform for different brands in England, Switzerland, France and the Nordics.

For the most important sites, Johan also carried out more detailed UX work (for example Information Architecture tasks).

Result

A flexible and modern website framework used for building many travel websites with high usability.
